Blacksire was proud to sponsor and co-organize the prestigious 'Buddha’s Ideals Musical Concert' alongside our partners at One To Tree Charity Foundation Association, Sam Cheng Everloving Care Welfare Society, GohKaki Childhood Museum, and Sam Kitchen, with support from Enlightening Sounds. The concert took place on August 27, 2022, in Penang, starting at 8:30 pm and stretching into the night. Beyond providing entertainment, the concert served as a fundraiser, raising donations totaling over RM400,000. This achievement is remarkable considering the donation period was only 4 days, proving that we all can commit to causes we believe in.

EDUCATING THE WORLD, ONE CHILD AT A TIME

The 'Buddha’s Ideals Musical Concert,' true to its name and spiritual roots, leveraged interconnected collaboration to improve the world through education and welfare. The first beneficiary of the concert’s fundraising efforts was the Sam Cheng Everloving Care Welfare Society, an organization that tirelessly spreads help, aid, and charity to those in need. The second beneficiary was the Siddhartha Public Montessori School in India.

The school and its staff work diligently to overcome logistical, financial, and infrastructural challenges, including leaking classrooms and sociocultural biases, to provide quality education to young children regardless of their backgrounds. Therefore, Blacksire and our partners were thrilled and humbled by this experience, as well as by the outpouring of support from our staff and the public in raising funds for these worthwhile causes.

EMBODYING SPIRITUALITY IN TRANSFORMING SOCIETIES

With the spotlight on the welfare organization and school as beneficiaries of the Musical Concert, attendees and organizers had an enriching and rewarding experience. They recharged their spiritual batteries by giving back to society and gained the knowledge that an enjoyable concert could have positive ripple effects on society. Through performances, talks, and sharing sessions with spiritual leaders, entertainers, and performers, attendees and donors left with their hearts full and a blazing passion for future charitable endeavors.
