This time, we are privileged to connect with Pure Lotus Hospice, further reinforcing our commitment to bringing comfort, support, and compassion to those in need. Our guiding principle, encapsulated by Helen Keller's words, 'The unselfish effort to bring cheer to others will be the beginning of a happier life for ourselves,' fuels our dedication to making a positive difference. 

Recently, Blacksire Group had the honour of conversing with Venerable Lyan Shih, the retired nurse tutor and founder of Pure Lotus Hospice of Compassion. In this enlightening dialogue, she shared insights into the Hospice's history and its visionary plans for the future. These plans extend beyond helping end-stage cancer patients, encompassing individuals struggling with various chronic illnesses. This expansion reflects the organization's steadfast commitment to broaden its compassion reach. 

At Blacksire Group, we hold gratitude and thankfulness close to our hearts. What is pure lotus of compassion?

Enter Pure Lotus Hospice of Compassion, an organization that embodies the true essence of compassion by providing a haven for end-stage cancer patients who are destitute, alone, or without shelter. Within the walls of this sanctuary, these individuals find solace as they navigate the last chapter of their journey. Dedicated medical professionals tirelessly tend to their needs day and night, offering medical care and unwavering emotional and physical support.

It originated in 2001 as Malaysia's pioneering In-Patient NGO Hospice, Pure Lotus Hospice of Compassion, embarked on a noble mission: to create a space of peace and comfort where patients could find respite from worries about necessities and essential expenses.

The journey began with poignant questions in patients' hearts: "Where can we turn? Who will stand by us?" In the face of adversity, Lyan Shih exhibited remarkable courage as she laid the foundation for the Hospice. With scant resources, no funding, no dedicated space, and no specialized expertise—she relied solely on boundless compassion, unshakable faith, and a heart full of empathy. Today, the Hospice stands as a testament to the extraordinary impact that these qualities can achieve.
